So you’ve decided to either start a new website using the WordPress platform or decided it’s time to upgrade from your old generic WordPress Theme? There are a number of different websites that allow you to purchases WordPress Themes, complete with loads of functionality and plugins built in. After working with a number of new themes recently, I’ve compiled a quick list of my favorite spots to find new themes.

Finding Themes for Your WordPress Website

1. StudioPress.com

StudioPress Themes run off the Genesis Framework. So, if you are interested in any of these themes, you’ll need to purchase the Genesis Framework first. This framework has continually been independently rated the best framework available. It isĀ  search engine optimized, mobile friendly, customizable, fast and has great security. Most recently, I have used the Winning Agent Pro Theme from StudioPress for a local Chicago Real Estate Agent, and it was a breeze to use.

2. Zigzagpress

Zigzagpress is another great provider of child themes for the Genesis Framework. They offer a nice selection of functional themes – a lot of which are industry or niche specific. Fitness studios, particularly, can find a lot of great themes via Zigzagpress.

3. Theme Forrest

If you are not using the Genesis Framework, browse Theme Forrest for a large library of categorized themes by industry. Be careful to take a look at the reviews, number of downloads, support available and options. Always make sure it is a mobile friendly (responsive) design with strong support from the developers.
